Very Happy New Year
We have had a great start to 2012: Gabe, our good friend, came down to visit New Years weekend, I passed part II boards (with flying colors), and we found out we will be stationed at Port Hueneme (pronounced Why nee me) next year (Zach's #1 choice)!!!...and Zach purchased his first cartigan (shown below), apparently all the hipsters are wearing them..

Montana Christmas
This has been a crazy month with my last set of finals (I made the dean's list again!), part II national dental boards (I will find out how I did in a couple weeks, but I feel pretty good about them), my parents and Keegan came to visit, and I rode back to Montana with them for Christmas where Keely and Bryan (and Rogue) met us.

Minnesota Thanksgiving
We made it up to see Zach's family, including his sister's new baby, Bennett, whom could not be sweeter. We also got to go to a University of Minnesota Gophers game with Zach's parents and Luke and Jen.

New Kitty "Charlie"
We, especially Zach, absolutely adore our new kitten. We went to Petco to get dog food and a rescue had a bunch of animals for adoption.....they put Charlie in my arms and there was no turning back. He is a very sweet kitty and he gets along very well with the dogs. They love to groom each other and Manny loves to roll around on the ground with him.

Akumal, Mexico
We took a much needed vacation since the first night I woke up to Zach talking to his clients, "Is there anything else I can help you with today? Okay, can you see me now?"
We flew into Cancun and rented a car to drive 1.5 hours south to Akumal. We got upgraded to first class on our flight because AA overbooked. YAY!

Latin Night
Movie Night
Forrest Gump at the Cancun Airport. It was fitting because we hardly watched any television while we were there, but the one time we did we watched Forrest Gump. Zach's favorite line is when Forrest is talking about Dan investing their shrimp money in Apple, "Dan says we don't got to worry about money no more. I said good, one less thing."

Tulum - Mayan Ruins
This is a picture of the, Muralla, wall surrounding the ruins. It was surrounding them on 3 sides and the 4th faced the ocean.
The ruins were right on a gorgeous beach.
El Palacio, the building where the most important inhabitants lived and in the back was a sactuary for religious ceremonies.
This was the the building right on the beach for their gods.
